I worked with Navy Exchange
selling to the VIth fleet for four years, visiting ships in
Haifa, Israel; Trieste, Italy; Corfu, Greece; and all the
Spanish ports: Rota, Malaga, Cartagena, Tarragona,
Barcelona and Palma de Mallorca - great times and you bought
lots of Orquidea pearls. for which I thank you.

Orquidea pearls are gems
comparable to the most beautiful of natural pearls and this
jewellery is sold in the finest retail establishments
throughout the world. Orquidea uses natural products to
produce pearls and it is, therefore, very difficult to
distinguish them from natural pearls. Orquidea pearls
are recognized to be the very finest Majorcan pearl product
and are prized by discerning, fashion - conscious women
everywhere. Each strand, earring, bracelet and pin is
registered with its own specific number and is sold with an
international ten-year guarantee.
Purchasing via this Internet web page works the same way - but
now: wives, daughters, aunts, sisters, sisters-in-law,
mothers, grandmothers can all look, amplify the pictures and
choose for yourselves. If you have purchases from
Orquidea, Spain already, we can easily match the pearl sizes
and perhaps the clasps. The modern quality is even
better than before - I still sell direct from source - and the
guarantees insure total satisfaction for ten full years from
the date of purchase.
For those "first time
purchasers" I give you a description of the
exclusive quality of these pearls and explain the
international 10-year guarantees:
"Pearls come into being from something minute - a simple grain
of sand, but after a labour -intensive process, they become
objects that contain all the magnificent splendour of the
depths of the sea.
Today a natural pearl is very
rare and if obtainable can be very expensive. Natural
pearls result from an irritant (generally sand) accidentally
penetrating an oyster. Layers of protection called nacre
are deposited around the irritant over many years. The
result is a marvellous product of nature, a luminous and
iridescent gem.
I can supply Cultured Pearls
quite easily. The process is the same
as in the creation of natural pearls except that man injects
the irritant
- so each oyster is known to be producing a pearl. The
pearl growing in the oyster is cultivated on a "farm" and is
subject to the economic needs of the cultivator. As a
result, all too often, cultured pearls are prematurely
"harvested". Inferior, thin-skinned pearls result and
the value of some cultured pearls has gone down.
The majority of the pearls that
PWW supply are those from Orquidea, Mallorca, Spain.
Each item of our jewellery is the final result of a process
involving dozens of specialists who oversee, with expert eyes,
every step in the production chain, the end result being a
perfect object. These Orquidea pearls are crafted in the
same method used by oysters. Layers of nacre are added,
layer by layer.
A simulated pearl starts out as an opaline crystal nucleus
dipped many times in a secret formula composed of marine
products similar to nacre generated by the oyster and each
stage of the layer application process plays a vital part in
the evolution of the pearl. Layer after layer is
patiently treated. Slowly but surely, what started
out being a crystal, is now on its way to becoming an
iridescent Orquidea pearl. The Orquidea pearls are then
polished, carefully inspected and utilized in the lovely
Orquidea pearl jewellery for which Orquidea is famous.
This special process enables these pearls to be superior to
natural ones and other cultivated pearls because they are less
prone to deterioration which can be caused by perfume,
make-up, nail varnish and perspiration. They should just be
cleaned regularly with a soft cloth and warm water to remove
any particles which could cause damage to the Orquidea
pearls.
Thus the Orquidea pearl is so
magnificent - with its shimmering, rainbow coloring - that it
has been said that it actually surpasses nature and we know we
are quite safe when we offer a 10-year, worldwide guarantee
for these Orquidea pearls - something we cannot do for the
natural or the cultivated pearls that we supply. The
international guarantee certificate ensures the free
replacement of any defective pearl.
When you choose an item of Orquidea jewellery, you know that
it will be perfect and that it will last for many years.
A string of pearls can, of course, be worn on its own but this
string is vastly enhanced by ear rings including pearls of
matching size. A bracelet, a ring and a pin / brooch make a
complete set. Follow the instructions and have fun
filling your private shopping basket.
I am available via email to give advice if you require it.
Tell me your build, height and weight and I can tell you the
mm size of Orquidea pearl you should select and advise you if
your selections should not "gel" together.
Payment is effected by bank transfer or Visa card or similar.
Your goods will be sent by UPS direct to your door.
Get in touch! I love selling pearls and making all you
